Rated 3 out of 5 by Tyler from Disappointing for an American brand The craftsman name doesn't mean the same as it used to. I bought this box to have more storage space and not break the bank, thinking these were made in the US and were good quality. I have a 20+ year old top chest that I've been really happy with. Have had this box for about 2 months and it is already failing. My "hammer" Drawer buckled today and all the drawers have a ton of slop side to side. Their 50lb weight limit is strict, don't over load this box. Definitely only good for light duty work. Consider a harbor freight box or higher end craftsman before this one

Rated 2 out of 5 by Patti from Quality is definitely an issue [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second time to buy this model Craftsman tool chest and the result was the same both times. The bottom drawer railings are flimsy and after 3 months I cannot close the drawer. I do not use this tool chest that much either, just wanted a place to store tools.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Elway737 from Quality Craftsman Tool Chest [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a decent chest for the price. I am using it for my carpentry tools. If you needed to store a lot of heavy items I woulds suggest one of the heavy duty models. This fits my needs well. 4 stars because the casters only install one way. It would work better for my needs if I could install the casters so the chest could be moved while standing in front of the drawers. I'll have to figure out another way to move the chest under my work bench as it's too long to roll under in it's current configuration. I suppose I could drill new holes, just seems odd to do that to a new cabinet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jesus from Not a good box Very flimsy. I knew the sheet metal used wasn't going to be the best but the locking mechanism is very flimsy. You have to fight with it to get all the drawers locked. Also, if you decide to buy this thing, make sure you look at it before leaving the store. The ones I was showed were all damaged and I ended up taking one in a pristine box home and sure enough it was damaged. Not Lowe's fault. These are coming from the manufacturer damaged. Save your money and get a better tool box. Not even the more expensive ones are sturdy. Craftsman isn't what it once was.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TODD from DON'T WASTE YOU'RE MONEY [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] MY WIFE AND KIDS GOT ME THIS AND THE MATCHING TOOL BOX FOR FATHERS DAY\BIRTHDAY IN JUNE. I OPENED IT UP 2 WEEKS AGO AND SET IT UP. THE BOTTOM DRAWER HAS ALREADY BROKE. IT'S SO CHEAPLY MADE. IF I COULD GIVE IT 0 STARS I WOULD.

Rated 3 out of 5 by scottkinwa from Very low quality [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wheels don't roll easily that the drawer guides are poor. The bottom drawer won't open fully without much force.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Emily from Cheaply made [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tool box to use as a dresser for my new baby boy. My older so has a Husky brand tool cart very similar style. I was hoping for a comprobable product with craftsman being such a large name, made in the USA yada yada. I was completely disappointed the moment I opened it. The entire box is very thin. It feels very cheap and unstable. Not to mention the edges are all very sharp and there are several spots that poke straight out. I cur myself trui g to remove stickers and I'm afraid the baby, or even my older son will cut themselves on this. Like I said I am using it as a baby dresser for very light items. I couldn't imagine this cart holding up to heavy tools or regular use in a rougher garage environment. I would have spent the extra money for the Husky brand bit they dont manufacture the same cart anymore.

Rated 1 out of 5 by J from Complete junk Seriously, don't buy this cheap piece of junk. Just brought it home today. Sheet metal is way too thin. Claims 50 lbs capacity per drawer, I suppose if you want the drawers to sag and bend over time, sure. Locking mechanism felt cheap immediately. 8 hours later, and it literally just doesn't work anymore. The ball bearings that the drawers glide on are pretty shaky, one drawer doesn't line up properly when closed. I don't mind this sort of quality on certain items to save money, but a tool chest like this should last 20+ years, if not an entire lifetime, and this thing might not last through the summer. My father still has a craftsman tool chest he bought 25 years ago, and it's still in great shape. Craftsman, at least the models they made for Lowes, just isn't what it used to be. Sears selling Craftsman to Black and Decker resulted in a major drop off in quality. Save yourself the trouble, spend the extra money on a better tool chest elsewhere. Honestly, an extra $50- $100 for something you'll keep forever is worth it.
